This is the reason for this cast. First we hear the intro.. I'm not sure what it means. Going blind here. Second it's the Euclid Jr. High School Stage Band in 1968 playing the theme from "A Summer Place". The remix then an original from the mid 90's.. Trombone quartet all improv... Then in an incoherent conclusion we feel Dry Heat Merisa Bissinger on flute, uke. Rick Benjamin-Tebelau on drum, uke... Goodbye ol' Summer....

The first chapter is Captain & Tennille's "Love Will Keep Us Together" played with enthusiasm by the Oberon Junior High Stage Band in 1976. The bridge reminds me of a 70's era detective show music, like the themes of Cannon or Barnaby Jones. This song was a world wide hit the year before and the kids know this song and they like this arrangement. This is public school arts and music at its best! Next we have "Zen project #1". More 3 Voices fun, you will find a video of it here on YouTube. And an improved arrangement of "Georgy Girl" and that will be it for that.

First someone plucks a ukulele, then a nice woman declares that they have a harmonica, then a earnest man shouts something like, "Dance that old dance" or something like that. When the bell "rings" introducing: The University of Iowa Old Gold Singers, singing the peppy Theme from the motion picture, Georgy Girl. It's only in the end when someone realizes that fleas, dogs and ukuleles are related. It's  a chuckle....

Impressions of a trip my wife and I took to London and Europe.  A midnight flights across the Atlantic. The engines are spinning humming and the sound of moving though a dark atmosphere, lights are dimmed.

Two for one. The first is "Love is a Many Splendored Thing" unknown choir. Next "Scaramouch, Symphony No. 3" played by the Longmont High School Bands 76-77. It's been so long, I know. Sorry to all one or two of you! HA! Well here it is a performance by two very different groups. The photo is by Lauri Lynnxe Murphy
